Erin Silas, OWNER - Wife and Mother of 6 AWESOME kids
Thank you for visiting my store. I began Bod by God Apparel with the support of my loving husband, Robin, and our six beautiful children, with a vision of promoting faith throughout the world, while supporting a cause that is dear to our hearts. Prior to this, I was a full time martial art master and fitness professional, owning multiple martial art academies and leading teams to perform all through out the world. My favorite part about teaching, was reaching people in all different walks of life and making a positive impact in their lives. When my life took an unexpected turn several years back, I was forced to dig deep into my faith and rediscover my purpose. Now retired, my days are spent rearing and homeschooling my six children. Two of our children are on the autism spectrum and our youngest daughter is non-verbal. At age three she was given the cognitive developmental age of nine months and the social developmental age of three months. Though she melts my heart with her contagious laugh, caring for her can be both heart wrenching and challenging. She is the reason I have started down this path with Bod By God Apparel. To clothe people of faith with quality Christian apparel, while simultaneously supporting other parents who also have autistic children at home. It's a challenge that requires parents to push hard into their faith. Raising children on the spectrum presents countless challenges, obstacles and expenses. I know first hand how much support these families need. Shortly after launching Bod by God Apparel, I was connected to the Walden's and their foundation, "A Brand New Day." This was confirmation to me that I am on the right path. Watching the Walden's testimony keeps my faith alive and that is why I am happy to support them on their mission to bring hope and healing to families with autism.
